STANCE AND BALANCE SERVICES

Canting a ski boot refers to the process of adjusting the angle of the boot sole in relation to the ski. This adjustment is necessary to align the skier's legs, particularly the lower legs (tibia), with the ski and the direction of travel, thereby improving balance, performance, and comfort.
Methods of Canting:
-Cantology or Brand Specific Shimming: Adding small wedges or shims under the boot sole to tilt it inward or outward.
-Planing: Sometimes, the boot sole may be ground down slightly to adjust the angle.
-Custom Inserts: In some cases, custom-made inserts or footbeds may be used to correct alignment issues from the ground up, affecting both boots equally.
Ski Boot Canting Services include
Initial Assessment:
-Evaluation of the skier’s natural stance and leg alignment, using specialized alignment tools.
-Gait Analysis by observing the skier’s walking and skiing stance to identify any alignment issues.
Cuff Alignment Adjustment:
-Creating custom footbed and insoles to support the foot’s natural alignment within the boot.
-Making Lateral Adjustments by adjusting the angle of the ski boot cuff to tilt inward or outward, aligning with the skier’s leg angle.
Customization:
-Making necessary Shell Modifications by Grinding or shimming the boot soles to achieve the desired cant angle.
-Liner Adjustments can be made by Modifying or replacing the boot liner for better fit and alignment.
Finalizing Fit
-Routing and returning boot toe and heels to correct din length.
-Making small tweaks as needed to maintain optimal alignment and performance based on skier feedback and performance

The customer service from the staff at this location is unmatched. I had a some questions about a goggle promotion and called into the store. I spoke to Amanda who patiently heard me out and helped address my concerns. I went into the store later that week, and every employee that I spoke to was kind and helped me get what I needed. This made my shopping experience smooth and quick. Special kudos to this team!

I went to buy a new pair of ski boots, and Adam assisted me throughout the entire process. From selecting the right boots to heat-molding the shell according to my foot shape, every step demonstrated his professionalism, and he clearly explained the reasons behind each decision. In the end, I walked out with a pair of ski boots that fit perfectly. I highly recommend that any skiers who struggle to find properly fitting ski boots go to Adam for help—he’ll definitely solve the problem.

I had such great services at the store today. Picked up my online order for ski boots and Matthew helped me try them on. He was very patient and explained how to properly put on the boots. It was a very pleasant fitting experience. Bill helped us with skis and he was very knowledgeable and patiently answered our billion questions and gave us his very honest opinions. I did not feel rushed even if we stayed 15 mins past their closing time. I will definitely return to this location in the future.

My wife and I went into the store, unsure of what we were looking for. A Sales Rep Name LIZ came in like a SUPER HERO and saved the day. She was VERY POLITE, HELPING, UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENT with us as we run her all over the store looking for more. The more we asked for the more helpful she became. She smiled throughout our entire confused shopping spree. When we were done she polite asked with a smile "is there anything else I could help you with". SHE WAS AWESOME and we highly recommend this store.
Thanks LIZ - Keane Stewart··from Google
